Marriage is more than love. It is a covenant in which the creator opens up the roads to eternity. Without a spiritual aspect marriage will only serve a limited purpose. The meaning of such a covenant is therefore that the partners assist each other to attain the lofty purpose set for them. The male and female forces manifest themselves and can compliment each other in the light of the great purpose. It is to allow the participants to leave behind the dialectical world and to return to the orginal field of life. In other words: to conquor the perishable, finite love and to gain the infinite, imperishable divine love.

When both partners learn to mirror in love and not out of self righteousness . Encouragement ,and trust of each other in love is the way to the divine love existance in marriage.Seeking the divine within each other always and not the non divine.
Unfortunatly I have found no one to date that has acheived this lofty goal, seems the very opposite is true, as the self is always getting in the way.
Male force is fire, female is water, this can create beautiful helpful steam or many burns.
I have longed for such a relationship, but have found that will force not tempered with love is out of sync, and visa versa, and each one in his own must be married within, male /female/fire/water. A difficult task indeed in a world full of selves.

Very true. You have a very accurate - in my opinion - perspective on the dynamics of marriage. However, I do know personally of quite a few marriages between members of the Lectorium Rosicrucianum who have achieved this goal (you describe) in marriage. That said … most (or all) of them are in Europe and are living/realizing the very highest aspects of the path. Eckhart Tolle is another one who has some very insightful concepts/knowledge of marriage, its dynamics and true purpose.
I have not read Eckhart Tolle , but certainly will. It is encouraging to hear that there are some who are living in marriages in this most wonderful way.
I personally have found that self is so over powering in this type of relationship, that anger , hostility ,hurt,etc, comes about as the mirroring takes place. Basically no one wants to have there shit brought out by another.
When the one that claims to love you is always pointing a self righteous finger ,the love is not there.That is not true mirroring that is just giving over to self.
Then the victim /perpetrator stuff starts and it gets worse.
But as I said I am encouraged to hear there are others , that while on the path have found the true marital relationship.
I for one stand alone yet again after being in a relationship with someone who thought himself a master, nothing I did was good enough or ok.
After a while I was tired of being constantly under suspicion, and scrutanized, if I did not think exactly as he.
There was no love being shared anymore.
It was only selves feeding.
I am much more at peace at this time, and healing , thankful for the clarity I was finally given to see things as they were , even within myself.
And , my spark is still here……
You are absolutely correct. The mirroring has be with love and understanding otherwise it is not mirroring but judgement. It is only selves salvaging and reinforcing their egoic-identities rather than helping one another find the truth. Very difficult but not impossible.
It sounds like you are finding your way. :-)
Love is resignation to the will of the possessor of ones heart, it is love that teaches man.
So as I surrender to spirit, the possessor of my heart, I go forward in peace.
