Distress

Posted on Apr 17th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
Our distress often stems from the inner knowledge that we are separated from the life of the spirit-soul and that our whole existence in this world is a road of trouble and sorrow.

So there is only one solution: to grasp the helping hand offered by the gnostic Brotherhood, because only the sanctifying and healing power of the Light can give us the help we need in distress.

Yet it must also be said that when we invoke the power of the Christ-radiation, the response is not always pleasing to us. Why not? Because Christ and his Kingdom belong to a quite different order of existence. Nevertheless, the Gnosis is there for every thirsting soul.

Intelligence

Posted on Apr 18th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
Intellectuality is simply a well-trained mind. Intelligence on the other hand requires a skilled mind, a mirror polished by the correct reactions to the divine impulses.

Eternal Truth

Posted on Apr 20th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
The eternal truth can never be told in its entirety. It cannot be passed on from mouth to ear, nor can any pen describe it. That is absolutely impossible, even for the highest initiate. There is only one possibility: that the human being find the answer to the suffocating and urgent quesions of life in the sanctuary of his own heart, in the innermost depths of the divine touch, when the delusion of the I has died.

Wu Wei

If a person yearns for genuine liberation his ego must engage in not-doing and must stop trying to grasp everything related to liberation. That is what you must not do. So do not concentrate, do not meditate, and above all, do not fantasize. Keep to absolute "not-doing."

One goes forward in total self-surrender to the Kingdom within you, the primordial atom. That is what is meant by "not-doing." That is what is meant by "experiencing the doctrine without words." I must sink into the Other One, into that Other Being, contained within the primordial atom.

The Ego

Posted on Apr 23rd, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
You need to give your animal-ego, in total surrender, to the primordial atom, the kingdom within you, the rose of the heart. That is your most important task. You do not do it in devotion to an outer God, but before the only God within you, the kingdom within you. It is with this practice that the path must begin.

Selfishness

Posted on Apr 24th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
The psychological disposition of the human being is not susceptible to change. External conditions may alter, but human beings remain inescapably true to their nature, which is essentially selfish. Selfishness, in its various gradations, is the primal urge of nature. It is not possible for human beings to free themselves from it unless they give up the self completely.

Illumination

Posted on Apr 25th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
I-consciousness is only a motoric activity whose function is to keep the personality alive and well and that the personality is only a part of the whole creation, intended to serve as the basis for the development of the true human being. Furthermore, one learns that the life of the personality is but a purely animal existence.

When the seeker understands this - and is motivated by an inner need - a point of contact latent in the personality will awaken and begin to bloom. From within a voice will begin to speak, the voice of the monadic flame, which is part of the true human being. As a result of the true human beings connection to the lower human being via the soul - the composition of the lower human being will be changed and transfigured.

When the seeker begins to be inwardly aware of that plan, and it is no longer understood merely as an intellectual concept, he will begin to live and grow in the direction intended for him by the divine plan. That is what it means to be illuminated.

Good and Evil

Posted on Apr 26th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
The cause of evil lies in the goodness of this nature. As Jesus said "No one is good - not even one." The order of existence is a dialectical one and can never be an absolute reality. Every phenomenon in it is subject to the laws of antithesis. The absolute cannot possibly manifest itself in this alternating movement.

Nevertheless, the ego tries to attain this goodness and calls it "love." In the alternation of opposites, everything the human ego wishes to hold on to and keep is bound to turn into darkness, and its love into hate.

Love Your Enemies

Posted on Apr 27th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
If we want to help suffering humanity - whose wounds, though self-inflicted, have been created in ignorance - we will need to deal with these problems on the astral plane, for only there can evil be cancelled out. This can only be done on the basis of an approach to life which is put into practice in the most positive way, and it will need to be pure, natural and without affection.

And it is soul-rebirth, the possession of the living soul-state, which makes one capable of living and acting in that way. So all your efforts need to be aimed at awakening the living soul-state. Prepare to extend that power to good and evil alike. It is the only way of doing anything for the world and humankind: the mobilisation of the power of love.

Self-Control

Posted on Apr 28th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
Man knows several forms of self-control. This self-control is a kind of life-tactic wherein one behaves according to existing forms of culture. We keep silent even though our blood drives us to speak; we check our temper even though there is an inner storm; we pretend to be amiable, obliging, correct, sweet and full of love for humanity. Nevertheless, it is a culture based upon lies, illusion and fear which leaves humanity living on a volcano.

Periodically there is an outburst of this volcano. Self-discipline is undermined by our I-passion and by our self-maintenance. Human interests clash and people will find a method to serve and realize their own interests under the pretence of self-control, friendliness, culture, religion and holy language. The pretext of self-control of one person attacks the self-control of another.

There is but one way to escape the suffering of humanity. By going the path of Sangha, the path of sanctification, of universal healing. First we must be in possession of the key to the path which in holy writ is called faith. Faith includes the possession, the experience and the positive reaction to the primordial monad in the heart. This leads to virtue in which a new blood-structure is formed and gives us the capacity to follow the path within. On this blood basis the person comes to knowledge, a change in the hormonal function as a result of first-hand contact with the light of the Gnosis. What is next? Supplementing your knowledge with self-control.  Not the natural, old self-control, but following the voice of the light which has been given to you. You need only turn away from the old voice and impulses of this nature and direct yourself to the New One within you; that is self-control.

Being and Not-Being

Posted on Apr 29th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
Who among us has entered the stillness of not-being, of not-doing? Only by entering the stillness of not-doing can one clear a path through the desert of this life. Through stillness, the primordial monad is awakened from its sleep of aeons.

What is the aim of this awakening? It concerns the path to not-being AND to being. Not-being is the foundation of all that exists. Being is the Mother of all things. Not-being does not mean not-existing or non-being in the sense of total absence of being. It is the absolute, original state. It is a "new-being" in the original state of the Immovable Kingdom. An original being arising from the absolute as true not-being.

Tao is Empty

Posted on Apr 30th, 2007 by cbpersel : Microcosm cbpersel
Tao is empty. It cannot be perceived. Neither can Tao be grasped with our thoughts or controlled by our will. To our natural state of being, in all its aspects, Tao is absolutely empty. That is why the method of not-doing is not merely a recommended course of action, but the essential foundation for all genuinely liberating work. With the ego and its intellectual and mystical faculties, nothing liberating can be grasped. For the ego, Tao is empty.

The reason why Tao is empty to our natural faculties, to the ego, and to our present state of being, lies in the fact that the vibration-field of Tao rises far above our ordinary field of life in subtlety, velocity and ability. Tao imparts itself to a magnetic astral field other than ours.
